Clan Raiding Philosophy
Great people do great things. There is a great paradox in this game we play. It is indeed a game and therefore should be fun and be an escape from the stress of the real world. However, only an initiate or a fool would deny that success in raiding requires commitment, ability, and teamwork. Is Remnant a hardcore raiding guild? Is Remnant a casual raiding guild? That is in the eye of the beholder.
We plan to raid four times a week for no more than four hours per raid (The preference will be three). No one in the clan is required to raid. When you sign up for a raid and are selected to attend, you are committed for that time period. That means coming prepared with the proper consumables, knowing your way around boss fights, and knowing how to play your class and spec. That knowledge should lead to action and excellence.
As a raider in Remnant, your primary commitment will be to the success of the raid and the advancement of the guild through new raiding content. This commitment trumps all other desires, including character and spec selection preferences. Access to new content benefits all characters and all classes in addition to instilling a sense of pride in Clan accomplishments.
As the leaders of Remnant, we promise to be as accommodating as possible with your class/spec selections while still meeting the goal of continual advancement. You may be asked to fill a role that you would rather not fill with your character. That said, the leaders of Remnant will do their best (while keeping our goals of progression at the forefront) to put you in a role that you enjoy while filling all needed roles. Frequently changing your desired role makes this task difficult. Be aware that success often requires sacrifice on the part of those who want to achieve victory.
I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious.
-Vince Lombardi
We are committed to each other. Unity is a core value of our clan. We are victorious together and we fail together. We rely on each other to come through when it is needed most. Raiders in Remnant do not waste each other’s time by delivering lackluster efforts and coming to raids unprepared. Doing so is an abuse of the trust that your clan mates have placed in you. Commitment to the team ensures that everyone will enjoy the raid, win or lose.
It all comes down to serving the ones who are fighting alongside you, watching your back, putting a weapon in your hand when you need it most.
